Project Overview

A manufacturing facility installed more than 40 thread rolling machines on a floor slab. Each machine weighs approximately 2–3 tons, resulting in significant dynamic loads on the building structure.

Due to the high-density installation of heavy equipment, vibration transmission and structure-borne noise became a major concern, affecting both 

production operations and nearby office areas.

Engineering Challenges

Low-Frequency Impact Vibration

Thread rolling machines generate periodic impact forces during operation. The primary excitation frequency ranges from 10–30 Hz, which can easily excite structural resonance in the floor system.

Structure-Borne Noise Transmission

Rigid connections between machines and the building structure transmit vibration directly to the floor slab, producing low-frequency humming noise that spreads to upper and lower floors.

High-Density Equipment Layout

More than 40 heavy machines installed in close proximity require the vibration isolation system to maintain both static load balance and dynamic stability.

Air Spring Isolation Technology

Air springs use compressed air as the elastic medium, achieving a natural frequency of 3–5 Hz.

This allows over 90% vibration isolation efficiency for low-frequency vibration generated by heavy industrial machinery.

Viscous Damping System

The built-in high-viscosity damping oil reduces vibration decay time and stabilizes equipment quickly after impact.

Durable Structural Design

The isolator uses integrally vulcanized natural rubber and metal components, providing excellent airtightness, durability, and long service life.
